Voted #1 Baby Store in New Orleans, ZukaBaby is a mom-owned modern baby boutique specializing in the latest strollers, car seats, local gifts and registry services. After opening a new location in Old Metairie, EyeRoll Creative was tasked with redesigning their logo to a modern look that fit their services and aesthetics. The ask was for the logo to reflect their brand and products — which are curated for quality, innovation, safety, style & sustainability.
Mood Board
The process began with creating a mood board to establish a desired aesthetic, personality and aspects to highlight within the brand.
Examples include: “The ocean is our inspiration for color and layout with an open airy vibe. This image brings a bit more life and energy. It has contrasting colors and stylish bikes —which speaks to our audience who lives an active lifestyle.”

Baby delivering storks are a popular and widely known folklore. ZukaBaby’s stork is a pelican to pay homage not only to their accreditation as being a choice baby boutique for the Gulf South region, but also to their online registry and nation-wide shipping & delivery.

Concept Explorations
A protection stone, Mother of Pearl brings the gentle healing power of the sea. It is a stress relieving stone; relaxing, soothing and calming to the emotions. Mother of Pearl stimulates our intuition, imagination, sensitivity and adaptability. It helps our emotions become more harmonious and balanced. The shells, with their nacre (mother or pearl) lining, are the ‘mother’ from which pearls are ‘born.’
The oyster also pays homage to the Gulf South/Coast region.
The type is monoline to pair well with the badge. The slight curves and low x-height gives it a youthful appeal while with an Art Deco influence it remains sophisticated.
This logo pays homage to the ZukaBaby legacy in a refreshed and modern way. The bold letters with rounded edges, and high x-height give the type a youthful appeal. A leaf is subtly incorporated into the logo type and represents growth and new beginnings.
